The Homer G. Phillips Public Health Lecture Series
Dr. Joan Reede, Dean for Diversity and Community Partnership at Harvard Medical School, will be the guest lecturer at the October 10, 2008 Homer G. Phillips Public Health Lecture.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Lecture
William Julius Wilson, Lewis P. And Linda L. Geyser University Professor at Harvard University, will be the guest speaker for the January 19, 2009 Martin Luther King Celebration lecture. A sociologist and leading scholar on urban poverty, Wilson is the author of numerous publications including "The Truly Disadvantaged" and "When Work Disappears: The World of the New Urban Poor."
